It is required to provide following notice while notifying an incident of infringement of copyright –
- Identification of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that the User claims has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on Videos Mapsofworld that the User claims is infringing or being the subject of infringing activity, with enough detail, so that it may be located clearly on the website.
- A statement by the User that he has a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the User including complete address of residence, contact number, e – mail address and any other relevant information.
- A statement by the User declaring under penalty of perjury that –
- the above information in his Notice is accurate
- that the User is the owner of the copyright interest involved or that the User is authorized to act on behalf of that owner.
- A physical or digital signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
- The notice should be send with subject line – “Subject: Copyright Infringement Notice”.
The User agrees and acknowledges that if he fails to comply with all the requirements mentioned hereinbefore, his notice may not be deemed valid.
